MPP Jordan Announces COVID-19 Reimbursement Funding For Area Hospitals

John Jordan, MPP of Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston, has announced COVID-19 Reimbursement Funding for two hospitals in his riding, Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place District Memorial Hospital.
The government is providing Ontario Health with one-time funding of up to $448,636,800 for the 2022-23 fiscal year for the following COVID-19 Pandemic Funding programs:
• Up to $252,709,500 in one-time funding for the Reimbursement of hospitals’ COVID-19 Incremental Operating expenses for the months of April to June 2022
• Up to $7,172,300 in one-time funding for the Reimbursement of hospitals’ Vaccine Administration Centres expenses for the months of April to June 2022
• Up to $26,137,600 in one-time funding for the Reimbursement of Health Human Resources expenses for the months of April to June 2022
• Up to $127,289,700 in one-time funding for the 2022-23 fiscal year for Pandemic Prevention and Containment costs. This one-time funding is intended to offset a portion of ongoing pandemic-related operating expenses from July 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023
MPP Jordan says this funding supports ongoing hospital operations in Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston and represents a significant portion of reimbursement for hospital expenses incurred in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Almonte General Hospital will receive a total of $413,358, while the Carleton Place District Memorial Hospital will receive a total of $426,583.
