DICA Electronics Ltd. will create seven new good-paying jobs in Carleton Place
Carleton Place — The Ontario government is welcoming an investment of $3,715,750 by DICA Electronics Ltd., a manufacturer of electronic parts and services, to launch and construct a new testing and configuration facility that will create seven new good-paying jobs in Carleton Place.
The investment was announced today by John Jordan, Member of Provincial Parliament for Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston.
“By supporting strategic investments from regional businesses, our government is protecting Ontario’s workers and creating the conditions for a strong, stable, and resilient economy that can weather any storm,” said MPP Jordan. “DICA’s investment will support growth and innovation across the local manufacturing sector and create more good-paying jobs for workers and families in Carleton Place.”
With this investment, DICA Electronics will construct a new 6,500 square foot manufacturing facility, which will house new advanced testing and configuration equipment and support the growth of DICA’s Ottawa-based technology clients over the coming years.
“We were pleased to welcome MPP John Jordan for a tour of DICA Electronics and to showcase the exciting growth underway at our company”, said Spencer Grabe, DICA President CPA. “Support from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund provided the confidence and incentive we needed to move forward with this expansion in an uncertain business climate. With this investment in a new facility and advanced equipment, we are expanding our capabilities into product testing and enhancing the technical performance of our production line. This strengthens our ability to provide employment opportunities for local talent and to serve Ottawa-area technology companies with high-quality, reliable electronics manufacturing services, while positioning DICA for continued growth and innovation in our region.”
In support of this investment, the government is providing DICA Electronics with $500,000 in funding through the Regional Development Program’s Eastern Ontario Development Fund.
“Employing more than 800,000 workers across the province, Ontario’s manufacturing sector is the economic engine of our nation,” said Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “Our government is proud to support local companies like DICA Electronics as they expand their operations, and we thank them for their contributions to Ontario’s dynamic and growing manufacturing ecosystem.”
Ontario is investing over $230 million through its Regional Development Program to help manufacturers across the province grow while supporting distinct regional priorities. To date, Ontario has supported more than 180 projects through the program, leveraging more than $2.6 billion in new investments and helping to create over 5,500 jobs.
