June 19, 2024

KINGSTON, ON— The Ontario government is supporting an investment of $3,139,600 by SnapCab Canada to boost local manufacturing and create 15 new, good-paying jobs. As part of this investment, the government is providing SnapCab with $450,000 in funding through the Regional Development Program’s Eastern Ontario Development Fund.

“Our government is building a strong Ontario and strengthening the economy by supporting key investments in communities like Kingston,” said John Jordan, MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston. “SnapCab’s investment will boost local manufacturing and create more good-paying jobs for workers and families in the Kingston region.”

SnapCab is investing over $3.1 million to expand its manufacturing space, by adding 18,000 square feet to the existing 36,000 square feet at the project facility in Kingston. This exciting new project will help double its manufacturing production of flexible stand-alone offices designed to provide private workspaces and create 15 new jobs.

“We are grateful to the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade for this financial assistance,” said Glenn Bostock, Founder and CEO of SnapCab. “This loan will accelerate the SnapCab growth Strategy by adding more jobs to the Kingston Community.”

Ontario is investing $160 million through its Regional Development Program to help manufacturers across the province grow while supporting distinct regional priorities. To date, Ontario has supported more than 120 projects through the program, leveraging more than $1.7 billion in new investments and helping to create over 3,200 jobs.

“Our government is proud to support local manufacturers across the province as they grow and create more good-paying jobs in their communities,” said Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “Investing in these types of community-building projects will help us continue to build Ontario and strengthen the economy. We thank SnapCab for making a significant impact in their community and for contributing to our province’s dynamic and growing manufacturing sector.”
